The institute for communications engineering is currently offering a positions for doctoral candidates or postdoctoral candidates with the topic “Fundamental concepts in Quantum Computing” (TV-L E13) (f/m/x). In this project we develop protocols for distributed computations using entanglement as a resource. Furthermore we will give upper bounds for the capacity for the considered channel by using quantum-information theoretical methods. The position is initially limited to four years with a possible extension.

Content of the project and areas of responsibility
• Quantum error correcting codes,
• Quantum distributed computations.
