In the Logistics and Supply Chain Management group, we currently have an open position for a PhD-student in the research area “Digital Logistics and Busi-ness Analytics” / “Operations Research and Machine Learning"

In the Logistics and Supply Chain Management group, we currently have an open position for a PhD-student in the research area “Digital Logistics and Busi-ness Analytics” / “Operations Research and Machine Learning” starting September 2021 or earlier. Ongoing research projects in our Digital Logistics Laboratory cover digital logistics, shared economy and transportation platforms, inbound logistics in the automotive industry and digital retail/e-commerce using data-driven methods. In cooperation with industry and academic partners, we conduct fundamental and applied research using Operations Research and Machine Learning. The group www.log.wi.tum.de offers an international working environment and is part of the Operations and Supply Chain Management department www.oscm.tum.de at TUM School of Management www.wi.tum.de and the DFG re-search training group “Advanced Optimization in a Networked Economy“ www.adone.gs.tum.de.

Besides very good skills in spoken and written English, candidates should have a Master of Science degree in Business Administration/Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science and experience in programming and the use of Operations Research / Machine Learning methods.
