PhD Position in Synthetic Organic Chemistry

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a background in synthetic organic chemistry to join our research group for doctoral studies. The Teskey group  is located in the Institute of Organic Chemistry  at RWTH Aachen University, Germany on the edge of Germany's most westerly city and at the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. 

Our research projects are centred around the combination of first-row transition metal hydride catalysis and light which we leverage to discover new reactivity in organic synthesis. Applicants for this position should have a good masters degree in synthetic chemistry. Some experience in synthetic methodology development, photoredox catalysis, photochemistry or transition metal catalysis is preferable but not mandatory.

A good knowledge of English is essential and some knowledge of German may be beneficial. The position will be available from March 2022 (a later start date is also possible) and will be filled as and when a suitable candidate is found. Informal enquiries can be sent via email.
