The applicants must have a master degree and a proof of a proficiency in English (B2 or equivalent) which are pre-requisites for a successful admission to the GGL (Giessen Graduate Centre for the Life Sciences) and the PhD program of the Faculty of Medicine (3 years). We seek highly motivated young applicants who can work cooperatively. Your previous research topic could be medicine, chemistry, veterinary medicine, biology and dentistry. These projects involve the use of genetically engineered rats, cell and molecular biology as well as culture of primary cells and cell lines. Commensurate with experience, first author publication(s) in top-tier bone and/or cell and molecular biology journals, expertise in signal transduction analysis will be considered beneficial but not a requirement. Western blot analysis and PCR data analysis, specifically bulk and single cell RNA-seq, will be considered beneficial but not a requirement.
