PhD Position - Development of perovskite solar cells through advanced characterisation and parameter estimation methods

Your Job:

  • Characterization of perovskite solar cells using the following methods:


- Transient and steady-state photoluminescence
- Frequency domain methods – Impedance spectroscopy (IS), intensity-modulated photocurrent spectroscopy (IMPS)
- Time domain methods – Transient photovoltage (TPV) and transient photocurrent (TPC)

  • Drift-diffusion simulations of perovskite solar cells
  • Parameter estimation using the Bayesian inference method

Your Profile:

  • Masters degree in physics, materials science, or electrical engineering and related disciplines
  • Knowledge of semiconductor and solar cell physics is required
  • Knowledge of solar cell characterization methods and/or drift-diffusion simulations is useful but not mandatory
  • Very good grades in the masters and bachelors degrees is mandatory.

The position is initially for a fixed term of 3 years. Pay in line with 65% of pay group 13 of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund) and additionally 60 % of a monthly salary as special payment („Christmas bonus“). Pay higher than the basic pay may be possible.
