The research group of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Walker, Institute of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is looking to fill a

Ph.D. position (all genders welcome)

with a limited contract of three years according to the salary level E 13 TV-L (50 %). This position is to start at the earliest opportunity.

Your duties
• Perform research within the research group of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Walker on the synthesis of fused and bridged bicyclic compounds.

Your profile
• A Master degree in Organic Chemistry.
• Previous experience of multistep organic synthesis would be desirable.
• Previous experience of homogeneous catalysis would also be advantageous.
• Detailed expertise in analytical and spectroscopic tools, namely NMR, XRD, IR, UV-Vis, MS.
• Very good language skills in English and/or German.

• Active involvement in teaching.
