The international and interdisciplinary PhD programme Genomic and Molecular Medicine – Personalised Approaches to Childhood Health is part of the Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital and the Munich Medical Research School. It is primarily open to assistant physicians specialising in paediatrics but also open to candidates from other disciplines (medicine, natural sciences, life sciences).

The PhD programme offers research and qualification opportunities in the fields of genomics, epigenetics, molecular, cell and developmental biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics and immunology, with a focus on the normal and pathological development of the child.

Doctoral candidates are in close contact with a thesis advisory committee, and they define their individual research goals together. The PhD programme begins in the winter semester (October). The application period is from 1 December to 31 January.
