Offer Description
We search for the subproject "P2: targeting cardiac macrophages" as part of the DFG-funded Research Training Group "GRK 2989: Targeting Cellular Interfaces in Reperfused Acute Myocardial Infarction (TCI repAMI)". The PhD project addresses the role of tissue-resident and inflammatory recruited macrophage subpopulations with regard to their repair mechanisms and their influence on tissue regeneration and fibrosis in response to repAMI. Using various imaging techniques, such as confocal laser scanning microscopy and light-sheet fluorescence microscopy, as well as flow cytometric and mass spectrometric analyses, the recruitment and polarization mechanisms in the individual inflammatory niches will be addressed.
