PhD candidate in deep learning for study of medical image data

Updated: over 1 year ago
Deadline: 2022-10-07T00:00:00Z

Our group is working on data-intensive problems in biomedicine by combining machine learning, statistical and other computational methods. Image data and deep learning solutions are a major part of our research. All projects involve collaboration with experimental and medical partners located in Cologne and at the Charité University Hospital Berlin.

We are currently looking for a PhD candidate to support our various projects in medical data analysis. Some examples include histopathology image-based tumor diagnosis and prediction of patient outcomes, analysis of multiplex microscopy images of tumor samples, quantifying dynamics based on cell and C. elegans video data. We offer work in a stimulating, interdisciplinary environment at the intersection of machine learning and medicine. We are located in the heart of cosmopolitan, historical city.
