Offer Description
The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007, it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up programme, the Excellence Strategy.
The Chair of Macroeconomics (Professor Stefan Niemann) at the Department of Economics of the University of Konstanz is inviting applications for a position as a PhD candidate.
Gross salary will be 50% of a full time position, in accordance with the regulations of the German public service salary scale TV-L E13 . The initial contract will have a duration of three years (with a possible extension). The successful candidate will contribute to the Chair’s research and teaching responsibilities. The starting date is 1st October 2024.
Applicants should have excellent analytical and quantitative skills, as well as an interest in research questions addressed by the research group. A very good scientific graduate degree in economics or a related field (e.g. mathematics, physics, or computer science) is mandatory. Fluency in English is required.
The successful applicant will also be enrolled as a PhD candidate of the Graduate School of the Social and Behavioural Sciences (GSBS) .
