The new Professorship for Sustainable Economic Policy at the TUM Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability, Technical University of Munich, invites applications for the position of a Doctoral Researcher. We expect applicants to be interested in conducting research at the intersection of the following fields
- Behavioral Economics
- Agricultural Economics and Environmental Economics
- Applied Microeconomics
Employment is offered for a limited time of 2 years with the possibility of an extension according to the public
service collective agreement (75% TV-L E13). The position focuses on the research theme "Social and
Behavioral Challenges of the Bioeconomy". This includes, for example, variation in public perception of bioeconomy
policies across the EU, inequality and climate change, minimising emissions and energy/resource
consumption, and determinants of individual and collective climate change action.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct collaborative and independent research projects
within the group’s research focus. Funding for research, conference visits as well as doctoral training is
available. Candidates are expected to enroll and complete the doctoral program at the School of Management.

Requirements
- Completed Master’s Degree in Economics or related fields (with distinction)
- Fluency in spoken and written English • Experience in data analysis and advanced statistics including programming skills in R, Stata and Python
- Ambition to pursue high-quality research projects
