Inserm Unit U1015, “Tumor immunology and anti-cancer immunotherapy” is Under the direction of Professor Laurence Zitvogel, work to the understanding of the relation between microbiota, anti-cancer therapies and immune surveillance. Again, pioneer in this field which lastly drew an exponential growing interest from the scientific community, Gustave Roussy has made a decisive step, initiating and “ClinicObiome”, a medico-scientific program to develop and propose innovative approaches to contribute to cure cancer, including:

  • Diet supplement and/or probiotic which would modify the balance from pro-tumoral to anti-tumoral microbiota activity
  • Fecal Transfer Therapy (FTT) as a personalized medicine

Prior to being validated, those approaches will be extensively assessed using appropriate animal and tumor models as well as in-vitro assays to better understand MOAs and establish POCs.

In charge of the R&D of the ClinicObiome program, including:

  • Design, execute and validate in-vivo experiments utilizing appropriate animal and tumor models to understand and characterize microbiota, anti-cancer therapies and immune surveillance interactions
  • Write and execute the animal testing protocols and oversee the smooth running of experiments.
  • Interface and manage internal functional groups (PI, technicians and engineers).                    Assisting with planning and execution of specific research procedures, coordinating schedules of experiments and procedures in close collaboration with the animal facility and the laboratory’s staff.
  • Analyzing and compiling experimental data in a clear and organized manner to present them during internal/external meetings and to interlocutors/collaborators
  • Able to work well across multi-disciplinary matrix teams (preclinical assessment, metabolomic, metagenomic platforms)
