About the project
NEXTSCREEN is a Doctoral Network supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) of Horizon Europe, that have recently recruited 10 PhD students, working together on the development of cellular screening technologies.
A new position is now open at Abbelight (France) starting in September 2024.
Qualifications
We are seeking doctoral candidates with a Master's Degree in Computer Science or Optical Engineering, who are eager to develop expertise in super-resolution microscopy and explore the application of artificial intelligence for fast image analysis.
Your role
The PhD student will work on pushing the resolution limit of imaging flow cytometry, an optical imaging technology that combines the subcellular resolution of optical microscopy with the high-throughput capability of flow cytometry. Particularly, the PhD candidate will focus in adapting super-resolution techniques to the speed requirement needed for high-throughput, combining imaging with computational strategy based on artificial neuronal networks to speed up acquisition and processing.
The position
NEXTSCREEN aims at creating an academic/industrial ecosystem where the doctoral candidates will learn the approach to research, innovation and market exploitation, from the different perspectives of academic centres and industries.
The salary is highly completive (net salary > 2400Euro/month)
