Offer Description

The thesis will be carried out within the IEMN laboratory in the AIMAN FILMS team, which specializes in research topics at the interface between acoustics, microfluidics and microsystems. The thesis will be supervised by Michael Baudoin, Professor at the University of Lille.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate theoretically, numerically and experimentally the possibility of realizing acoustic quantum analogues based on the de Broglie pilot wave theory. This work relates to our recent theoretical discovery that acoustic sources can be self-propelled by their own acoustic fields, via the radiation pressure resulting from an asymmetry created by the Doppler effect when the particle is slightly perturbed in translation. In particular, our aim is to investigate the possibility of realizing a classical analog of the quantum spin with a wave-particle duality, and to study entanglement for classical systems.
