The department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering is offering a summer employee position in in the area of Carbon neutral metals.

Are you interested in preventing the climate change? Metals are necessary for the renewable energy source technologies, but they have to be produced in a carbon neutral way.

We in the Metallurgy Research Group have many ongoing projects for investigating ways to produce and recycle metals in a clean way, avoiding fossil carbon and replacing carbon with alternative reductants. Furthermore, we are studying how to recover precious, critical and valuable metals from primary and, especially, secondary raw materials, and we measure thermo-physical properties of metallurgical slags and other materials.

If you are interested in a summer trainee or a research assistant position or would like to do your thesis (bachelor, master or doctoral level) in one of this kind of a topic, please contact us and send you cv and study records.

We are looking for a BSc(at least 2 years studies) or Msc level student, that is interested in chemical and metallurgical engineering in circular economy and/or high temperature phenomena in metals processing.

The summer job will last for max. 4 months and is carried out between May and August 2022.
