The job position is a substitution, and therefore temporary for the period 1.6.2022–31.12.2024 (starting date negotiable). However, this post offers an excellent chance to get acquainted with the grant writing services at Aalto University. Other duties include, for instance, finding and publicizing suitable funding opportunities, advising researchers in aspects related to funding applications, contacting the funding bodies, seeking the necessary approvals and/or signatures to proposal documents and providing training on funding-related topics.

You will be responsible independently for the grant writing service to proposals and researches assigned to you. However, you will receive support from the other research funding experts in the team.

For this position, we require a doctoral degree in one of Aalto University’s research areas (or close to) and fluent spoken and written knowledge of the English language.

In addition, other preferred skills, knowledge, and abilities are:

  • good knowledge of major funding instruments
  • experience in successful funding proposals
  • fluent spoken and written knowledge of the Finnish language

Besides, we value:

  • self-initiative and pro-active behaviour
  • ability to cooperate and high motivation in challenging customer service duties
  • enthusiasm in editing and writing texts

We offer an exciting and diverse opportunity in our motivated and efficient team, with great colleagues and possibilities for professional growth. In addition, we also offer strong support from Aalto University’s Research Services.
