Civil Engineering Research Unit

We are now looking for several

DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS

to strengthen our expertise, especially in the field of digitalization, building information modeling (BIM), automation and robotics in infrastructure construction and mining operations.

Description of the task and requirements

In your role, you work on a daily basis in the research team on ongoing research projects, in which we also collaborate a lot with companies in the field. In addition to participating in research projects, you will start planning a doctoral program and a dissertation together.

You may be the person we are looking for if you have a master’s degree in engineering and at least a few years of industry experience, preferably in research and development assignments related to digitalization, information modeling or automation. In particular, we hope for a curious mind, goal-oriented and long-term ability to work, and adequate English language skills. Experience in the areas of digitalization of construction and mining, building information modeling, automation and robotics is valued.

Salary

A salary in accordance with the Finnish universities salary system for teaching and research personnel: level 2-4. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50% of the job-specific component). Starting gross salary will be approx. 2400€ per month. A trial period of six months is applied in the position.
