Are you a recent or upcoming Master’s graduate who is passionate about  analytics, willing to work with data and eager to apply decision analysis for driving an environmentally sustainable future?

We are now looking for a Doctoral Student in Management Science for a 3-year funded position.

The position is located in the Department of Information and Service Management. The research at the department is broadly divided into three disciplines: management science, information systems science, and logistics, with topics such as digital service development, service networks, behavioral decision making, and data science. The current research topics of the Management Science group include but are not limited to portfolio decision analysis, multi-objective and stochastic optimization, behavioral decision theory, machine learning and productivity analysis.

As our new doctoral student, you will be working towards completing your PhD whilst being an integral member of an Academy of Finland-financed project “Right tools for the right problems – Improving environmental planning with portfolio-decision analysis (PORTRIGHT)”.

We are looking for a person who has a true interest in data analytics, and finding applications for environmental management and planning to solve some of the grand environmental challenges of our time. You have a Master’s degree or are close to finishing your Master’s studies, in an applicable field such as Management Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics or Applied Mathematics,
