PhD position in Hardware system reliability.

The Centre for Dependability at TalTech (https://www.taltech.ee/en/), invites applications for a fully-funded PhD position. The Centre conducts research in the area of reliable and trustworthy system focusing on assertion-based verification, formal methods, design understanding, systems modeling, and other similar topics.

Candidates with adequate backgrounds will be invited to interview over Skype.

All positions have an immediate start date. The nominal duration of a PhD degree is 4 years at TalTech. Successful candidates are offered salaries around 1700 euros (gross) that are competitive for European PhD scholarships standards. 


Requirements:

We are looking for motivated PhD students graduated in computer science or related area. The candidates are expected to have the following core skills:

- Ability to describe RTL designs (preferably in Verilog)

- Ability to write C++/python scripts for building small EDA tools

Other skills are considered a plus:

- Familiarity with concept of verification and assertions

- Hands-on experience with data mining

- Publication(s) in topics related to verification, design understanding, reliability
