Reports to: Associate Director, Student Organizations and Services

Purpose: Advise and develop all students on various leadership and organizational skills and to assist with other ongoing student projects of the office on and off campus. Oversee, coach and facilitate the students training sessions, events, and organizations’ activities, as well as collaborate with the associate director in promoting social responsibility and civic engagement among the AUC student body through the organized activities. Produce and analyze statistical data and information related to student organizations so as to assess and improve the performances of the programs. Assist in planning, organizing and coordinating the work of student organizations, and their weekly workshops.

Principal Accountabilities:  

  • Plan and facilitate the logistics of the social, cultural and recreational activities of a number of student organizations according to university policies and office regulations
  • Coaching on day-to-day basis student organizations
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets for student organizations with an amount that exceeds EGP 1,000,000 annually
  • Planning and identifying appropriate conferences for student leaders to attend
  • Serving as an advisor and university representative in these functions
  • Collaborate with faculty advisors of the respective student organizations, staff, students and the external community to facilitate and maximize the yearlong programs
  • Producing and compiling progress reports by gathering and analyzing information to assess and improve performances of designated student organizations
  • Maximize the activities and events for student organizations while adhering to the mission of the organizations and the university policies and procedures
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the associate director

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement :

  • Bachelor degree is required

Experience :

  • Minimum six years of experience

Skills :

  • Motivated and self-starter
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Working under stress, high level of tolerance and problem solving
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent English language skills
