A two-year postdoc position in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) of membrane proteins is available at the Department of Biomedical Sciences at University of Copenhagen.

The Membrane Protein Structural Biology Group at Department of Biomedical Sciences (BMI) works on structural and functional characterization of membrane proteins that are essential for human health and highly attractive targets in the treatment of disease. The postdoc will be involved in the preparation of samples for cryo-electron microscopy data collection, analysis, interpretation and related complementary experiments.

We have excellent direct access to the Core Facility for Integrated Microscopy (CFIM, https://cfim.ku.dk/ ) at Copenhagen University, which possesses one Titan Krios microscope and one Glacios microscope both equipped with Falcon 3EC direct electron detector. We also have routine access to other microscope facility including SciLifeLab at Stockholm and Umeå Centre for Electron Microscopy at Umeå, Sweden.
