Postdoc in Terahertz Technologies & Bio Photonics, Technical University of Denmark

Updated: about 6 years ago
Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

Terahertz science and technology is one of the central strategic research areas at DTU Fotonik – Department of Photonics Engineering. The THz spectral range, bridging the electronic world and the optical regime, is considered to be very important for fundamental as well as applied research and development of novel sensing technologies.
We are looking for a qualified candidate for a three-year postdoc position in the Terahertz Technologies & Biophotonics research group, with special focus on time-resolved THz spectroscopy of condensed matter systems.
The qualified candidate should have a solid, international background in terahertz science and technology from his or her PhD studies. In particular, experience within

  • Millijoule-level state-of-the-art femtosecond laser systems
  • Generation and detection of high-intensity, sub-picosecond THz pulses
  • Spectroscopy, measurement and sensing with high-power THz pulses
  • Air-plasma-based ultrabroadband THz spectroscopy

The position offers plenty of possibilities for cooperation with other research groups at DTU Fotonik and co-supervision of master and PhD projects. Moreover, this position entails the interaction and cooperation with all partners in the group.
