DTU Chemical Engineering seeks a qualified candidate for a PhD position within the field of biocatalysis, focused on the development of continuous pharmaceutical processes.
Responsibilities and tasks
A particular target of the work is aimed at understanding the transfer of multi-step enzymatic cascades from batch to continuous mode of operation. Novel analytical methods and scale-down approaches will be required, linking experimental work to modelling.
The position includes the normal DTU PhD responsibilities, where the work will be carried out primarily at DTU.
You should have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) in chemical or biochemical engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree.
Approval and Enrolment
The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU. For information about our enrolment requirements and the general planning of the PhD study programme, please see the DTU PhD Guide .

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.The period of employment is three years.
