The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program is administered by the Vanier-Banting Secretariat on behalf of Canada’s three granting agencies—the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). The Secretariat is housed within CIHR.
The Vanier CGS program aims to attract and retain world-class doctoral students by supporting students who demonstrate both leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the natural sciences and engineering, social sciences and humanities, or health sciences. Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada and foreign citizens are eligible for a Vanier CGS.
A Vanier CGS is valued at $50,000 per year for three years.
For more details, visit the Vanier CGS website or contact us by email at [email protected] .
