Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Administrative Officer of Integrated Studies, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed general administration functions. These functions are of moderate complexity and the incumbent performs them using established/general instructions. 

Typical Functions:

  • Performs specific editing and reviewing of documents, audio, video, and web content as required. 

  • Monitors and posts social media content to various platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. 

  • Collects and enters data into established databases. 

  • Receives, sends, and sorts mail, parcels, and various forms 

  • Performs basic word processing functions such as, document formatting, labelling, spellcheck, mail merge, drafting letters from template

Required Skills and/or Abilities 

  • Self-motivated, well organized and able to work individually or as part of a dynamic team. 

  • Demonstrated experience providing support for various administrative activities and dealing with confidential information. 

  • Organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to receive and relay information with accuracy, work autonomously and as part of a team. 

  • Demonstrated ease and flexibility with technological applications with a proven ability to work in a PC environment using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities 

  • Current McGill student who has completed a minimum of one academic year at McGill 

  • Current McGill student who will be enrolled in a degree program for the 2021-2022 academic year 

  • Reliable, punctual and professional
