We are looking for a Senior Human Resources (HR) Advisor, Talent Management to support our HR Branch. The Senior HR Advisor would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.


Reporting to the Manager, Talent Programs, you will provide strategic advice and drive the design, development and delivery of talent management solutions that support the NRC’s diverse and highly skilled workforce and enable excellence in research and innovation. This includes defining and implementing new or renewed approaches for workforce planning, succession planning, high potential identification and management, executive talent management and overseeing the ongoing delivery of programs such as the annual performance management process. You will also leverage research and workforce intelligence to identify current and future HR priorities and organizational capability requirements.     


This role will appeal to a strategic thinking and solution focused HR practitioner who is motivated by the challenge of implementing HR practices and solutions that help ensure the NRC has the workforce and leadership bench strength it needs for today and the future.

Education

Degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the work to be performed.
An equivalent combination of experience, education, training and/or experience may be accepted.

Experience
  • Significant experience in the field of human resources management including providing strategic advice to leaders at all levels.
  • Experience designing, delivering and implementing talent management strategies and solutions including workforce planning, succession planning and/or high potential identification programs.
  • Experience formulating HR strategies and recommendations based on leading practices, research and analysis. 
  • Experience developing and rolling out new programs, products and tools for use by a variety of stakeholders.

  • Ability to produce high quality written products including policies, reports, briefings, tools and materials for stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to lead the implementation of new approaches and to transfer required knowledge to stakeholders including executives, supervisors and HR practitioners.

    Relocation

    Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.


    Compensation

    From $100,011 to $111,681 per annum. 

    In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
