We are looking for a SAP-PM System Administrator to support our Real Property Planning and Management Branch (RPPM). The SAP-PM System Administrator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity. 

 

The SAP-PM Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, support and enhancement of the business processes around the use of the SAP Plant Maintenance module, which is the NRC’s corporate computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Working in an organization with specialized facilities which include industrial, scientific and research equipment and systems, the incumbent ensures the integrity and consistency of master data, maintenance system procedures and reporting in the SAP Plant Maintenance module (SAP-PM). 

 

Reporting to the Regional Site Operations Manager, the SAP-PM Systems Administrator is responsible for reviewing, verifying and correcting entered data, creating and updating equipment information, providing guidance to users, and identifying maintenance activities associated to buildings and facilities that require maintenance processes and life-cycle data.

 

In regards to the SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM) module, the successful candidate will be the focal point for the design and development of the business principles, the organizational hierarchy and the building equipment records, and coordinating the preventative maintenance program across all major sites in the administrative region of Quebec, but occasionally on all the other NRC sites in Canada.  In additional to this, as NRC’s SAP-PM subject matter expert, you will ensure that the data, equipment and standards are consistently maintained and contributes to best practices using their SAP-PM expertise and provides guidance to the continuous enhancement of related processes and procedures.


Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:


Education

A college diploma in a mechanical program such as: building technician/technologist, mechanical engineering technician/technologist or certification in a trade such as machinist, millwright, HVAC mechanic, plumber, Steamfitter or other relevant studies related to the position.

Experience
  • Significant* technical experience associated with industrial/research facility operations and in processing maintenance activities.
  • Significant* experience in the implementation, support and maintenance of SAP-PM in an industrial facility for preventive and corrective maintenance. Experience with the implementation, support and maintenance of other computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) may also be considered.
  • Significant* experience in managing data using spreadsheets such as Excel.
  • Significant* experience in customer service.

 

* Significant: 2 to 6 years.


ASSETS: 

  • Experience in the development of new system architectures for SAP-PM or another CMMS.
  • Experience in the administration or delivery of training.
  • Experience using SAP Enterprise System for such integrated modules as controlling and procurement

  • Solid knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance or other CMMS.
  • Solid knowledge of equipment and system installed in buildings, sites and /or in research facilities.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance operations, equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of the essential features of Microsoft Office Excel, Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Compensation

Salary under review.

 

From $58,445 to $80,040 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
