RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
We invite applications from enthusiastic and motivated students interested in pursuing graduate studies in the field of oncology. Our lab focuses on the molecular characterization of aggressive gynecological malignancies, specifically undifferentiated ovarian and endometrial carcinomas, along model development and early drug discovery.

General Duties
Molecular Characterization: Engage in comprehensive studies using a range of basic to advanced laboratory techniques for the molecular characterization of ovarian and endometrial carcinomas.
Data Analysis: Learn and apply data analysis methods for genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenetic profiling. Collaborate with senior researchers to interpret complex datasets.
Functional studies: Further explore your discoveries through in depth analysis of tumor biology such as gene editing experiments


Education / Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Science
Other education considered an asset for this position: Master’s Degree

*The graduate student will be enrolled at McGill University and receive a stipend or a bursary from a professor’s grant, for the purpose of allowing the student to further their own research/thesis or other program or academic requirement. All benefits are administered by McGill University. Possibility of affiliation to the Cancer Sciences Program or the Pathology Department
