Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s program
The objective of the Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s (CGS M) program is to help develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies.

NSERC Indigenous Student Ambassadors
(previously Aboriginal Ambassadors in the Natural Sciences and Engineering [AANSE])
The NSERC Indigenous Student Ambassadors (NISA) grants promote interest and participation in the natural sciences and engineering, through the visits of Indigenous students and fellows to Indigenous communities and schools. NSERC encourages qualified Indigenous students and fellows to apply for this award.
NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral program
The NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral (PGS D) program provides financial support to high-calibre students who are engaged in doctoral programs in the natural sciences or engineering. This support allows these students to fully concentrate on their studies and to seek out the best research mentors in their chosen fields. NSERC encourages interested and qualified Indigenous students or fellows to apply.
NSERC Student Ambassadors
NSERC Student Ambassadors grants provide financial support for post-secondary students to share their science and engineering experiences with students from groups that are underrepresented in these fields, including girls, Indigenous youth, and students in rural or remote areas.
