Post-doctoral Fellowship in Higher Geometric Structures

The Geometry Group of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of São Paulo (IME-USP), in Brazil, announces one post-doctoral position within the scope of a Thematic Project named "Algebraic, topological and analytical techniques in Differential Geometry and Geometric Analysis".

We are looking for candidates with strong research potential and expertise in Higher Geometric Structures, including: Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids, differentiable stacks, higher categories, generalized geometry, and related topics.

The selected candidate will develop the post-doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Cristian Ortiz.

Candidates should have a PhD in Mathematics at the beginning of the activities. In order to apply, candidates should send an email to Prof. Cristian Ortiz ( ) containing the following items:

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The position is for 2 years with a monthly stipend of BRL7,373.10. The position also has a Technical Reserve equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship and aimed exclusively to support activities related to the research project.

Foreigners candidates need a temporary or permanent visa compatible with research activities in order to implement the fellowship.
