Nice opportunity in our lab at the Chemistry Institute, São Paulo University, São Paulo, Brazil. One postdoc position, with a scholarship granted by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) valid for one year, extendable for eight months. Candidates interested in electrochemistry and energy storage; working on sodium and lithium ion batteries and supercapacitor electrodes, must send an email to Prof. Roberto M. Torresi. Candidates must apply until 05/24/2020 sending the following documents:

- A letter justifying the interest in the position;
- Updated Curriculum Vitae; and
- Email and telephone of two (2) researchers for references.

Candidates for these grants must have expertise in electrochemical techniques related to energy storage devices, and physical characterization (SEM, TEM, vibrational spectroscopies, RXD, ICPOES, etc.) of materials. Previous experience with synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials and transition metal compounds is also desirable. The selected candidate should conduct experiments independently; assist in guiding students and in laboratory activities; and to be proficient in writing reports and scientific articles in English.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
