Master’s Fellowship in Ruminant Nutrition

The Zootechnics Institute (IZ) belongs to the Department of Agriculture and Food Supply (SAA) of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and interacts via the São Paulo Agency of Agribusiness and Technology (APTA) with many affiliated research institutes and centers scattered in different regions of São Paulo State granting them respective demands. The IZ mission is to develop and transfer technologies and inputs for assessing and enhancing the sustainability of animal production systems, seeking technological innovations to promote the productivity, quality and diversity of animal production. The IZ Research Centers present excellent infrastructure for the development of researches in partnership with public and private institutions. The Centers also provide services and training of human resources. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated candidate interested in conducting research related to the effects of different levels of ruminal undegraded protein in beef cattle diets and to the establishment of in vitro systems (Dual-flow continuous culture and Gas production) that will be used for ruminants’ nutrition studies. 

1. Candidate profile and required skills

1.1. Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Medicine Veterinary and related areas;
1.2. Hands-on experience in ruminant nutrition studies;
1.3. International experience (Internship research project conducted abroad)
1.4. Strong oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team are essential and well appreciated.
