A grant by the German Research Foundation (DFG) will fund a postdoctoral research position (100%) for a 36-months period. The project is entitled "Working memory dysfunction in schizophrenia: an investigation of multivariate activation pattern and neural synchrony". The project will be hosted at Prof. Senkowski's lab at Charité and will be conducted in collaboration with Prof. Sauseng (https://www.psy.lmu.de/biopsychologie/personen/mitarbeiter/sauseng/index.htmland) and Prof. Cichy (https://userpage.fu-berlin.de/rmcichy).


Your area of responsibility:

- Preparing and conducing EEG studies on working memory (dys)functions in patients with schizophrenia and healthy controls

- Cutting-edge EEG data analysis: neural oscillations; source localization; multivariate pattern analysis

- Publishing of data

- Some German language skills are required to interact with the patients

- Profound Matlab programming skills are required to analyze the data


Our profile:

Our lab, which is located at the St. Hedwig Hospital., hosts among other devices, a state-of-the art 128-channel EEG system. Long-term connections to clinicians are established at the hospital, which will facilitate the recruitment of patients. We are an interdisciplinary and ambitious team, which conducts high quality cognitive neuroscience research studies since many years.
