We offer employment as a full-time doctoral researcher in a stimulating environment, where you will mainly work with the research team, consisting of prof. Dr. Anja Van den Broeck, prof. Dr. Elfi Baillien, prof. Dr. Marijke Verbruggen and/or prof. Dr. Sophie De Winne. We want to take you through a process in which you grow as a scientist in performing and publishing rigorous and transparent scientific research that is relevant to practice (i.e. to organisations and employees). We also want to support you in your personal development (e.g. in terms of self-efficacy, proactivity, mental resilience) and offer you the opportunity to gain teaching experience. The educational support includes supervision of a fixed number of bachelor’s and/or master’s theses, support during exams and (preparation of) lectures.
Starting date: around September or October 1st 2021 (to discuss) subject to approval by the doctoral committee (see ), for a period of 4 years (pending positive evaluation after 12 months). Your main office will be in Brussels.

Eligibility criteria

• You hold a master's degree in a Humanities and Social Sciences domain (e.g., Management, Psychology, Applied Economics, Business Engineering, Sociology, or other);• You have received at least two 'honours' (i.e., cum laude, distinction) mentions over the course of your higher education;• You have demonstrable experience with, or a strong interest in designing and executing quantitative studies and are curious about analysing quantitative data;• You are a good writer, and you are not afraid of public speaking (e.g., delivering a conference presentation, teaching a class);• Your written and spoken English is excellent. Excellent Dutch language skills are an advantage (since the data collection will be in Dutch); • You are an intellectually curious, analytical 'idea person', with a knack for academic research and a proactive, self-directed approach to work.
