Job description

PhD Student Inflammation Research Center (Zwijnaarde)

The Unit for Mouse Genetics in Inflammation of Prof. Claude Libert has currently a job opening for a highly motivated master student with interest in inflammation, metabolism and/or sepsis.

The project is part of a grant supported by SBO studying sepsis. As sepsis hits 49 million people per year, killing 11 million of them, it is the most urgent unmet medical condition of today. In this project both fundamental, as well as applied research will be used to investigate sepsis.
The applicant should be highly motivated and passionate about driving and performing research and associated laboratory tasks and be able to work independently. The person will work in a multidisciplinary environment with PhD students and technicians from different research groups. The position will be started from January 2022 onwards.
