Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 31 Mar 2022

This vacant position is part of the BUILD CARE project, for which Research[x]Design collaborates with colleagues from UZ Leuven, TU Wien and TU Dresden, supported by the European Joint Programme on Rare Diseases. This project aims to investigate, through an ethnographic and participatory research approach, the role of the built environment in the everyday life of children and families affected by childhood stroke and their experiences in informal (i.e. home, neighbourhood, school) and formal (i.e. a hospital, rehabilitation clinic, outpatient clinic) care environments.

The vacant position concerns doctoral research around the following research question: how do informal and formal care environments support or hinder the everyday life of children with stroke and their families? The PhD research will be supervised by prof. Ann Heylighen and prof. Andrea Jelić, and conducted in close collaboration with dr. Pleuntje Jellema.
