Project

The applicant will participate in exploratory projects focused on developing novel polymer blends containing humins. The research will cover a broad range of experimental activities including polymer synthesis, polymer characterization, rheology and polymer processing. 


Profile

The successful candidate must have a MSc degree in Chemistry or a related field. It is strongly desirable to possess sound experience with polymer synthesis, willingness to work at interdisciplinary boundaries, ability to interact with technical staff efficiently to achieve project objectives. Having proficiency in conducting scientific experiments in chemistry lab, ability to manage time and work to meet  deadlines, effective written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to present complex information effectively to range of audiences is essential for this position. 


Offer

The successful candidate will be offered a PhD fellowship to become part of our team to work towards a PhD. This full-time mandate is initially limited to 1 year contract with a possible extension depending on the performance of the candidate as well as competitive financing successes. The final goal will be obtaining a PhD after 4 years.
