“Computer Science” and “Vaccine & Infectious Disease Institute” in the Faculties of Science and Medicine & Health Sciences, respectively, are looking for a full-time (100%) doctoral scholarship holder in the field of in the fields of formal methods for biological systems and quantitativehealth economics.

Position

Profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in mathematics, economics, applied economics, commercial engineering or computer science.
  • You enjoy working in collaboration with other researchers as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Your teaching competences are in line with the University of Antwerp’s educational vision .
  • Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and university research policies .
  • You act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity, and cooperation.
  • You speak and write fluently in English.

What we offer

  • We offer a doctoral scholarship for a period of 2 Following a positive evaluation, the scholarship can be renewed for another 2 years.
  • The planned start date is October 1, 2021 or as soon as possible after that date.
  • Your monthly scholarship amount is calculated according to the scholarship amounts for doctoral scholarship holders on the pay scales for Contract Research Staff (Dutch: Bijzonder Academisch Personeel, BAP).
