Job profile:

University assistant - dissertation position (20 hours/week - upon submission of the dissertation agreement, the extent of employment is increased to 30 hours/week), Institute of Ion Physics and Applied Physics from 01.12.2020 to 30.11.2024. Main tasks: Dissertation in the field of structure formation at strong turbulence in magnetised plasmas; education and training; administrative tasks; own research; independent teaching; supervision of students and publication activities. Required qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent in physics; communication skills; ability to work in a team; knowledge in theoretical plasma physics, many-body theory and/or computational physics. Desired qualification: experience in modelling and simulation of dynamics, turbulence and/or transport in magnetised plasmas. Please include a research proposal on your dissertation plans (max. 5 pages).
