Responsibilities:

  • To prepare, purify and characterize organic compounds. 
  • To solve synthetic problems by effective literature review. 
  • To prepare biweekly and monthly reports to support publications.
  • To present progress in team meetings. 
  • To develop new synthetic methodologies and the synthesis of target molecules. 
  • To work effectively as part of a team, training and supervision of other group members. 

Required qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or related field is required for this position.
  • Total synthesis of complex natural products.
  • Characterization and structure determination (e.g. 2D-NMR, IR, X-Ray). 

Research expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable for this position:

  • Terpene Chemistry.
  • Working in inert atmosphere using Schlenk and glovebox methods.
  • Experience in computational chemistry.
  • Handling and studies of the reactivity of compounds at low/high temperatures.
