University Assistant (PhD position)

University assistant - PhD position (20 hours/week - upon submission of the dissertation agreement, the employment level is increased to 30 hours/week), Department of Mathematics, starting from 15.02.2021. Main tasks: Dissertation in the field of Deep Learning for Inverse Problems; independent research; teaching; supervision of students, scientific publications; administrative activities; education and training (conferences, congresses, advanced training). Qualifications required: completed diploma or master's degree in mathematics; research experience in the fields of Deep Learning for Inverse Problems and computed tomography; creativity, high motivation and high level of commitment; programming knowledge of neural networks; experience in working with students; ability to work in a team and willingness to communicate; ability to cooperate with researchers in applied fields. In this position you are expected to write a dissertation in a stimulating environment using the university's infrastructure. You will hold your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration. 50% of the working time is reserved for the thesis.
