Offer Description

Tasks

  • Establishing new synthesis routes for stimuli-responsive monomers and catalysts for dynamic polymer networks
  • Preparation of dynamic polymer networks following thermal and/or photochemical curing routes
  • Characterization of physico-chemical, mechanical and thermal properties of dynamic polymer networks
  • Study of stimuli-triggered healing, repair, recycling and reshaping
  • Optimization of material properties for defined industrial use cases
  • Close cooperation with international project partners from industry and academia and regular presentation of results
  • Communication of research results to the scientific community (e.g. papers in peer-reviewed journals, oral/poster presentations at national and international conferences)

Skills/Qualifications
  • Above average master’s degree in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, or similar
  • Profound knowledge in organic chemistry
  • Structured / independent way of working
  • Knowledge in photochemistry is advantageous
  • Personal initiative, skills for self-organization and teamwork, effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with partner companies and research organizations
  • Language skills in English / basic skills in German are advantageous
