The Department of Civil Engineering and Natural Hazards, Institute of Structural Engineering is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate (PhD position).

Responsibilities

• Writing a dissertation in the field of "Structural Engineering" is desired
• Participation and independent holding of course exercises, e.g. in the field of construction, mechanics, structural engineering, engineering structures and and resource-efficient civil engineering
• Independent work in research and teaching
• Participation in research projects at the institute
• Take over administrative tasks at the institute
• Participation in university self-administration

Required skills and qualifications

• Diploma degree in cultural engineering and water management, civil engineering or comparable studies
• Very good knowledge of German and English

Desired skills and qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of numerical modeling methods
• Experimental experience in a laboratory
• Teaching experience in the relevant subject
• Manual skills (construction area)

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 2.228,60
