Postdoc Position (f*m)

in Geometric Modeling for Numerical Simulation

(full-time, 40 hrs per week)

for a duration of 1 year, starting on December 1, 2021.

The full-time position is affiliated with the "Geometry in Simulations" Group (led by Professor Bert Jüttler) at RICAM, located in Linz/Austria.

The hired person will work on topics related to the interplay between geometric design and numerical simulation, such as problems related to the framework of isogeometric analysis.

Your profile:

  • PhD in mathematics.
  • Strong background in geometric modeling and/or PDE-based numerical simulation
  • Expertise in the mathematical technology of spline functions and its background from approximation theory
  • Experience with mathematical software development in C++
  • English skills needed
