The Institute of Mechanics at Graz University of Technology, Graz, Austria, has an open research position in the area of structural dynamics, multibody systems, nonlinear vibrations, numerical and analytical modeling. The research focuses on model order reduction techniques in mechanical engineering.

The candidate will also participate in teaching and therefore needs very good language skills in German and English.

The position is suited for a PhD student and offers the opportunity for further scientific development. Salary will be at least 41.601€, The position is for five years,

Ideal candidates hold a master degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline and have experience in structural dynamics, multibody dynamics, nonlinear vibrations, numerical and analytical modeling techniques and preferably also in model order reduction techniques like polynomial chaos expansion. The successful candidate needs very good language skills in English and German.
