The Institute of Institute of Technical Informatics at TU Graz has an opening for a
PhD Position (m/f/d) in the area of wireless networked embedded systems
40 hours/week, for 4 years, starting presumably on March 1st, 2022
The successful candidate will conduct highly competitive research and pursue a PhD in the area of wireless networked embedded systems, as well as help with teaching at Bachelor and Master levels. The institute is one of the leading places in Europe for research on Internet of Things and more generally networked embedded systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research in the area of networked embedded systems
- Carrying out a dissertation in networked embedded systems
- Preparation of research papers and scientific talks
- Teaching at Bachelor and Master level
- Supervision of students
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completed Master or Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information & Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Very good knowledge of and interest in design, implementation, and evaluation of wirelessly networked embedded systems that meet high quality of service and reliability requirements (Internet of Things, Cyber-Physical Systems etc.)
- Very good knowledge of the English language both written and spoken, knowledge of the German language is an advantage
- Didactic qualifications for teaching courses

The institute provides funding to purchase material needed by the candidate to carry out research, to attend international research conferences for paper presentations, and potentially also for extended visits to international partner institutions.
