The ideal candidate holds a degree in biotechnology or chemical engineering and has very good theoretical and practical knowledge of protein purification and analytical methods, an interest in modelling and an understand of protein biochemistry. We expect you to be enthusiastic to reach ambitious goals, to learn new techniques and to present your results in oral and written form. Excellent skills in spoken and written English and the ability to work in an international team are essential.

Your tasks

• Development of protein purification processes for sIgA

• Chromatography, precipitation and membrane-based separation methods

• Isolation of sIgA and IgG variants

• Development of characterization methods for sIgA

• Correlation of MD-LC results generated at VUB with characterization results at BOKU

• Oral & written presentation of results, active contribution to the publication process of the results in peer-reviewed journals
