Full time University Assistant for the Department of Production Enginieering, Chair of Metal Forming, beginning 01. December 2021 in a fixed-term to 4 years of employment. Salary group B1 of the Austrian labour agreement, monthly minimum excl. supplements € 2.971,50 for 40 hours per week (14x per year) actual salary depending on previous professional experience in relevant fields

Requirements : Completed an above-average degree (U/TU) in one of the fields of polymer engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronic, industrial engineering, or aerospace and space technology. Fluent English in writing and speaking. For applicants from abroad at least basic knowledge in German language and willingness to improve this knowledge.

Activity profile : Responsibility for highly self-organized scientific work in the field of processing of composite materials. Your responsibilities include the planning, evaluation and coordination of scientific theoretical and experimental work along the entire process chain from raw material to the final component. Aspects such as material and technology analysis as well as process development based on intelligent control systems will be of special interest.

Qualifications profile : You are highly motivated, initiative, team oriented and have good knowledge in polymers, composites, automation, and/or mechanical engineering. Furthermore you have strong interests in processing of composites, you are able to identify relevant research topics and to develop problem solving strategies. You are familiar with the PC and standard office tools. Willingness to prepare a dissertation and to participate in cooperation projects with both, basic and application-related research questions is requested, also.
