Established with funds donated by Dr Neville Derrington Hicks, this scholarship may be used to provide assistance with one or more of the following costs or expenses associated with the student’s project, as determined by the recipient: living, professional development, conference, travel or publication.

Eligibility: an applicant must

  1. The recipient of a Research Training Program Scholarship (RTPS) or University of Adelaide research scholarship undertaking their second or subsequent year of a PhD by the first semester census date;
  2. Be undertaking a research project at the University of Adelaide related to Policy in Public Health;
  3. Have either completed the milestone of the Core Component of the Structured Program (CCSP) or will complete their CCSP within the year of application;
  4. Be an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, an Australian Permanent resident or an International Student;
  5. Satisfy the minimum English language proficiency requirement as set by the University.
