Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
You must meet the following criteria:
- Be a commencing or continuing student, enrolled or intending to enrol in any Engineering undergraduate single or double degree included in the degrees offered by the Faculty of Engineering, at a Monash campus in Australia.
- From one or more of Monash University's defined educational disadvantage groups
- Have a low income
- Are a recent refugee
- From a regional or remote area
- Have a disability or long term medical condition
- Have experienced difficult circumstances
- Attended an under-represented school
Benefits
$6,000 per annum (for 48 credit points), up to a maximum of three years.
Number offered
Two scholarships are available and will be offered to one male and one female.
Selection criteria
- This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of need.
To retain this scholarship:
- Maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50.
How to apply
- VTAC applicants - If you think you might be eligible for an equity scholarship, ensure that you apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) through VTAC between Monday 31 July (9am) and Friday 6 October (5pm) to be automatically considered.
- For current Monash students apply directly to Monash .
- This scholarship cannot be deferred.
