Receiving a scholarship helps me to focus on my studies. It also means that I know I have the support of others in order to study and reach my goals.

Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen
• A New Zealand citizen
• Australian permanent resident
• Australian humanitarian visa holder

You must meet the following criteria:

• Be a commencing or continuing student, enrolled or intending to enrol in any Engineering undergraduate single or double degree included in the degrees offered by the Faculty of Engineering, at a Monash campus in Australia.
• From one or more of Monash University's defined educational disadvantage groups
  • Have a low income
  • Are a recent refugee
  • From a regional or remote area
  • Have a disability or long term medical condition
  • Have experienced difficult circumstances
  • Attended an under-represented school

Benefits

$6,000 per annum (for 48 credit points), up to a maximum of three years.

Number offered

Two scholarships are available and will be offered to one male and one female.

Selection criteria

• This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of need.

To retain this scholarship:

• Maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50.

How to apply

• VTAC applicants - If you think you might be eligible for an equity scholarship, ensure that you apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) through VTAC between Monday 31 July (9am) and Friday 6 October (5pm) to be automatically considered.
• For current Monash students apply directly to Monash .
• This scholarship cannot be deferred.
